I am sorry if this post is just all over the place, I can't really think straight right now as my mind has just been boggled with troubleshooting all of this.

The "not working" GPU's fans are spinning, when I open the AMD software to update drivers it recognizes that there are 4 cards in total, 2 XT 2 regular, but in device manager there still is that error. I've updated drivers, which sometimes were successful, sometimes now, but now I seem to be in a very good place. I have increased my virtual memory to 32gb all my risers are lit up, and gpus are on/fans blowing. i went to device manager, the fourth one is a '' saying not enough resources.

So I have 5 GPU MSI 1080s Motherboard Z270 SLI Plus 4gb ram. msc (without quotes) in the Search box and press Enter. I've tried putting the not working 6600 on the other x1 slot, but that just caused more issues and less cards working. You can identify the motherboard drivers via Device Manager. I have the last remaining 6600 plugged into the other PCIE x1 (there are 2 x1 on the board). I currently have a pcie hub (plugged into the x16) that has XT's plugged in, as well as the 6600 that is not working plugged in. I have messed with all different locations of the Pcie hub and what not, done just about every possible mismatch you can think of, and currently I am at the closest to getting all 4 working.

Originally, I was able to have 2 6600's working fine, but whenever I added the 1st 6600 XT, I would get the code 12 in device manager on that card. I have a computer that I am having this very annoying Code 12 Not Enough Resources error on one of the graphics cards that is triggering me beyond what words can describe I am new to this forum, and hope that this is the correct location to put this type of thread as it is motherboard troubleshooting. Geforce 9800 GT only has DVI for HD output, I want to use my 9800 GT on this motherboard, but can't for reasons stated above.Hello. Is there something that disables DVI output? Both cards are getting power, work fine in other rigs, but can't produce DVI output when plugged into the dell motherboard. This represents an issue with the motherboard in my mind, not sure of what variety. Except for one thing, which I dont need at the moment. It recognizes a GTX 1050, but with similar exclusion of DVI. But Device Manager - Disk Drives lists it as SAMSUNG HD103SI SCSI Disk Device. My optiplex 990 motherboard running a fresh copy of windows 7 does not recognize my Geforce 9800 GT whatsoever, which utilizes DVI as its only HD video output. But focusing on the 9800, I am unable to do this, since it isn't recognized on the hardware level. Installing drivers for the 1050 might produce DVI output, and is possible. I imagine that if the 1050 had DVI output only, I would also get no detection of any kind, just off hunch. If you remove the wrong thing in that section, you may have some problems. If you remove something like video drivers, etc you're system will boot fine. I can only get output from onboard graphics with the 9800 plugged in. That's the one section of the device manager I leave alone, as long as there aren't any issues or uninstalled devices, waiting for drivers. This, while the 9800 shows no trace of detection in driver software, device manager, or elsewhere. One difference between the two cards I haven't been able to reproduce might be that, windows detects the 1050 as "generic vga adapter" in device manager, and the onboard video completely disables when the 1050 is plugged in, only letting me use the 1050's hdmi or display port. Neither of the two produce DVI video output while plugged into the optiplex board, I've tried every pcie slot. I put the DVI adapter into the 1050 and there's no output whatsoever, identical to the 9800.īoth cards are totally functional, have adequate power. I've tested the GTX 1050 with the Optiplex 990 motherboard, it works with HDMI and Display Port output. I've tested the adapter on a GTX 1050, different motherboard, it works. I've tested the DVI adapter on the 9800 with a different motherboard, worked perfectly. 9800 GT has s-video and DVI, and I only have a DVI to HDMI adapter. I plug it in, seat it correctly, fan spin, NO OUTPUT. I want to try for dedicated graphics, the Geforce 9800 GT.

I've managed to boot into windows 7, install drivers etc, onboard graphics work fine.
